    Can you relate?

    PROBLEM

    01

    Grief is completely disorienting.

It’s common to feel lost and unsure. Loss changes all our normal routines and schedules, leaving us not knowing who to turn to.

    PROBLEM

    02

    Grief is completely isolating.

We lose our loved one, but then it feels like we lose our friends too. They go back to normal lives, and you’re left feeling alone in the mess.

    PROBLEM

    03

Grief makes you feel like an easy target.

It’s easy to blame God, doubt His goodness, and hate this new plan for your life. And it’s hard to guard your heart & mind.

    What if…

🖤 What if you had an honest, insightful, and life-giving guide to walk you through this?

What if you didn’t have just an “expert” who has studied grief, but rather someone who is well-acquainted with sorrow and has walked the Valley herself?

🖤 What if you had a supportive, prayerful community?

What if you had some fellow Companions in Sorrow who “get you” in a way that your community just doesn’t right now? Companions who can actually answer those questions about grief that you can’t find answers to online or in books.

🖤 What if you could finally feel the true peace and joy of the Lord, even in the Valley?

What if you finally found the teaching, resources, and practical ideas that help you learn how to trust God instead of blame Him?

    Meet Danita Jenae

I’m a recent military widow and young mom learning to hold both joy and sorrow in the same breath.

I walk with the weary THROUGH the Valley of the Shadow—
from suffering and loss to a place of peace, joy and hope of redemption THROUGH trust in God and the power of Holy Spirit. (Here we live Romans 15:13 out loud!)

I kind of thought launching this was crazy timing, as I’m in the thick of grief myself. However, the Lord has confirmed The Grief Collective to me in a dozen bright and bold ways. So I’m confident that He is up to something, and I want to be a part of anything Holy Spirit invites me into!

Personally, I’ve noticed that the people who comfort me the most in my grief are also in the thick of theirs… That alone is evidence of grace. Prayerfully consider joining me in this Valley of the Shadow of Death. It’s certainly no place to walk alone. 🖤

    This is FOR YOU if:

You need supportive community to surround you in your grief.
You’re mad at God about your loss but you really don’t want to stay mad.
You want practical guidance on how to trust God more, even through the pain and heartbreak.
You want the wisdom of someone who has walked and is walking through excruciating loss.

    It’s NOT for you if:

You feel justified playing the role of the victim and you are content to stay there.
You’re just plain mad and want to stay mad. You’d prefer to remain cynical.
You prefer to self-isolate and/or stuff the grief.
You are trying to replace clinical or professional counseling. Nor if you are seeking a “grief expert.” I am neither.

Don’t you think it’s time for breakthrough?

    What others are saying

I say WOW and AMEN! This is exactly how God heals our heart hurts. He gives us perspective. He feeds us with all we need to sustain us. He shows us how to keep putting one foot in front of the other one step at a time. Before we even know it, we have leapt with joy. …We begin to bring others along the way with us. I’ve been snuggled under my weighted blanket far too long. … Danita Jenae, your words today are my perfect prescription. You are a gifted writer blessed by our Abba Father for such a time as this, 🙌❤️🙏
    🖤 Shila Spice California
Your words, which I believe are inspired by the Lord, always touch my heart and fuel my faith. Your life is a prayer, a psalm, and I learn every time I read your work. After loss, I kept asking the Lord, “Why?” … I don’t question anymore… I trust. You taught me the real meaning of surrendering to Him.

    FAQs

Question 1: What are the weekly teachings/Q&A’s/workshops like?

Here a little taste of some of the weekly teaching lessons:

    • Finding Joy in the Sorrow
    • Developing Wonder in the Doubt
    • Learning to Surrender in the Face of Loss

    Q&A’s

These are LIVE sessions on zoom with Danita. There are so many questions in grief we wish we could ask others and books and google seem to be no help. Well, here’s your opportunity!

    Creative Workshops

We’ll rotate between some painting classes to learn to paint your very own “grief piece.” I’m amazed at the healing God’s done in me through painting. I have some guest artists lined up to share as well!

We’ll also have some poetry writing workshops (all levels) as we learn to write our own modern day psalms of lament. I’m convinced this is the missing link in our culture’s inability to grief in healthy ways.

Question 2: When are the weekly LIVE teachings/workshops?

We’ll work out a time that’s best for the majority of people.

And as long as you’re a subscriber, you will ALWAYS have access to the replays on their own easy to use, beautifully crafted course page.

Question 3: What’s the FB group culture like?
    • Prayerful. Supportive. Sincere.
    • It’s my understanding that you truly can experience “second-hand trauma”, so we are careful to not share graphic details about our loss.
    • We’re very respectful of each other’s privacy. This is a safe place.
    • There is no comparison allowed. Because comparing loss is: 1.) disrespectful, 2.) hurtful, and 3.) not beneficial to anyone.
Question 4: Why are you charging for this?

Fair question! I wanted with everything in me to offer this all for free. But I’ll be candid here.

Because you get no gimmicks with me…

Practically speaking, you’d be surprised at how many thousands of dollars I’ve already invested into the training and tech/software/website stuff to make all these moving pieces work.

Psychologically speaking, people actually value something more and put more work into something if it cost them something.

And personally speaking, those who know me the best know that these lessons I’m teaching were learned at a MUCH higher and an immeasurably more excruciating cost.

    So. There you go.

Question 5: Is this only for people who’ve lost a spouse?

Heaven’s no. It’s not even for people who’ve necessarily lost a loved one. There’s all kinds of grief related to moving, change, divorce, illness, death, etc. I’ve experienced so many different kinds of loss and grief, and all those experiences come up as we step into these conversations together.

My goal and the specific goal of the teachings is to learn to trust God more, even through the trials, loss, and fires. To learn to keep a tender heart, instead of a bitter one.

Question 6: How is this different than counseling?

Counseling is a one-on-one relationship with a certified therapist that typically focuses on THE PAST and how to process grief and loss. It costs a lot per hour but a good counselor is priceless.

The Grief Collective is a peer grief support and prayer support system + teaching/group coaching where we focus on how to MOVE FORWARD through the grief and loss. It’s a low monthly cost and the community and revelation is priceless.

An aside… Sadly, I have heard from several widows that many counselors shy away from grief-based needs. I’ve experienced this as well. It’s hard to find a good one, but I encourage you to not give up. Keep searching until you find a counselor who will help you.

Yes! This would be so life-giving!

Yes! I want a daily dose of “manna”,

    weekly perspective-shifting guidance,

& all those powerful printable art and scriptures!
