Dove Beauty

“She’s clothed in strength and dignity.” Proverbs 31:25
Have you ever known a beautiful woman? A woman who serves and gives and loves? A deeply beautiful woman? I have many deeply beautiful women in my life and therefore, I am richly spoiled. They make for the most worthy of role-models and truest of friends. They not only make me want to give and serve more, they make me want to love better too.
The grace of a beautiful woman is that she’s not perfect and plainly admits her shortcomings. Because I know no deeper beauty than a woman who humbly receives the grace of Christ and goes on to extend this mercy to others.
And yet, even though I know you are beautiful and even though the King delights in your beauty, you still may not believe us.

God’s Word says you are beautiful, cherished, delighted in:
-He delights in you, calls you Beautiful and Married; no longer shall you be called Deserted and Desolate (Isaiah 62:4) -You are a crown of splendor, a royal diadem in the palm of your God (Isaiah 62:3) -You are worth more than rubies (Proverbs 31:10) -He trades you beauty for your ashes; joy instead of despair (Isaiah 61:3) -He brings you out into a spacious place; He rescues you because He delights in you (Psalm 18:19) -He draws you out in to the desert to speak tenderly to you (Hosea 2:14) -He has taken away your punishment; He is with you; He takes great delight in you and sings songs of rejoicing over you (Zephaniah 3:14-17)
That’s just to name a few. But if you still don’t believe Him, then you are like a woman who looks in the mirror, walks away, and forgets what she looks like. Such a woman only remembers what she actually believes about herself and not what God believes about her.
Don’t just hear the Words of your Pursuer, that you are loved and beautiful and then blow Him off. The things you believe determine how you act, how you present yourself, and how you treat others.
What do you want your countenance to become?
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only deceiving yourselves.” James 1:22-25
Believe Him… You are beautiful.
Be beautiful.
Act beautifully.
