Your feet are beautiful!
-Romans 10:13-17
For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?” So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

I’ve been painting this Scripture as a gift for my husband’s Breakthrough Birthday (40!). And it’s funny how the Lord will surprise you. Sometimes the Word you give someone else is what the Lord is simultaneously giving you. The Lord has surprised me with this verse many times recently. Just like how this photo surprised me. I didn’t realize my feet were just so as I sat on my bed to take this photo… but the Lord knew. In the same way, I took this photo to show you today. And the very photo I took to minister to you is the photo the Lord uses to minister to me… Because look! My feet! Ha ha! He is so good! I want to share with you the two places in the Word that Beautiful Feet have been ministering to me. I will close with a prayer of blessing for your morning.
Isaiah 52:1, 7 (click link for the entire beautiful chapter!)
“Wake up! Wake up, Zion!
Clothe yourself with strength!
…How beautiful on the mountains
are the feet of those who bring good news,
who proclaim peace,
who bring glad tidings,
who proclaim salvation,
who say to Zion,
“Your God reigns!”
My Prayer for You Today:
Lord, wake these dear ones with news of your unfailing love. As the beginning of Isaiah 52 says, Wake up! Get dressed in strength! I ask you to wake each of these precious ones with ears to hear like one being taught. Speak to us this morning. And may the very words and images you choose to bring us this morning be the very words and images that those we meet today need. Show us how to be your messengers who bring Good News! Lead us to be a people who bring the gospel of peace and the good news of salvation today to our families, children, spouses, co-workers, neighbors and people in the marketplace. We love you, Lord. In Jesus’ name, amen!
Peace out, and rock this day! You and your beautiful feet!
